About us

Gear that does the job, explained plainly.

Birchwood sells outdoor clothing, footwear and gear for everyday life in Canada: dog walks before work, weekends at the cottage, snowy errands and evenings by the lake. We look for things that are warm, comfortable and easy to use, and we tell you plainly what each one is good for and what it isn't.

How we choose.

• Comfort and fit first. Most clothing and footwear pages have a size guide in inches and centimetres. No size guide yet? Email us and we'll help you choose.
• Plain descriptions. We list the materials and measurements we know, and say so when the maker doesn't.
• Easy to order. Free delivery to Canada on every order, and 30 days to return.

Who we are.

Birchwood is operated by No-ar, a company registered in the Netherlands. We deliver to customers across Canada. Most orders arrive in about 10–13 business days, and you get a tracking link by email once your order ships.
