Radio and light for power outages.
The E30 is an AM/FM radio with a front flashlight, a light in the carry handle and a 10,000 mAh battery. Charge it by USB-C, or top it up with the hand crank or solar panel. For camp, the cottage and power outages at home.
Good for, and not made for.
Good for: power outages, camping and the cottage, local AM/FM stations without internet, and topping up a phone through the USB port.
Not made for: weather alerts. It has not been confirmed to receive Canadian weather-band alerts, so don't count on the WB setting for local emergency warnings.
What you get.
- AM/FM radio with telescopic antenna
- Front flashlight and handle light
- 10,000 mAh battery, as stated by the maker
- USB-C, hand-crank and solar charging
- USB port to top up a compatible device
- Audible SOS alarm
- About 15.7 × 10 × 6.4 cm, in green or black
Charge it before you store it.
Charge it by USB-C, extend the antenna and test reception where you plan to use it. Solar and crank charging depend on conditions, so treat them as a top-up, not your main way to charge.

ABOUT BIRCHWOOD
Gear that does the job, explained plainly.
We choose clothing and gear for people who walk the dog before work, spend weekends at the cottage and want boots that stay comfortable all day.
Every product page tells you what it's good for, and what it isn't. We list the materials and measurements we know, and say so when the maker doesn't. Not sure what fits? Email us and we'll help you choose.
Made for everyday use
Dog walks, errands and weekends at the cottage. Not mountaineering.
