A stretch-knit balaclava that covers your head, cheeks and neck, with an open eye area and an open-knit mesh panel across the mouth. The long ribbed neck tucks into your jacket collar, so there's no gap at your throat.

Good for, and not made for.

Good for: cool, windy days: the dog walk, shovelling the driveway, waiting at the bus stop and outdoor chores.

Not made for: deep cold on its own. It is a stretch knit for cool air, not a thick winter layer, so in hard frost wear a toque or hood over it.
