Firefly Rechargeable Bug Zapper, UV LED

A bug zapper without the cord.

A rechargeable bug zapper that uses UV LED light to draw insects to an electric grid. It runs on a built-in battery, so you can carry it by the handle between the house and a covered porch or patio, with no extension cord.

Good for, and not made for.

Good for: a covered deck, screened porch or patio on summer evenings, and rooms indoors.

Not made for: rain, damp grass or an open yard. Use it only in a dry, sheltered spot, as the instructions say. How well it works depends on the kind of insects and the surroundings.

What you get.

• UV LED light with an electric grid
• Built-in rechargeable battery
• Touch controls with several modes
• Carry handle and stable base
• Grey or blue

Set it down somewhere dry and stable.

Read the instructions before first use, and charge and run it the way they describe. Stand it on a stable surface in a dry, sheltered place. The maker doesn't list run time, so charge it fully before an evening outside.
